Cuba Caracolillo (Peaberry), Washed, Speciality Roast
Cuba Caracolillo (Peaberry), Washed, Speciality Roast
Caracolillo beans (Peaberry in Spanish) grow in the heart of the Escambray Mountains, also known as the Crystal Mountains, in soil that is particularly rich in mica and quartz. This specific terroir, combined with a temperate climate and frequent rainfall, creates an ideal microclimate for growing this exceptional coffee. However, small, round Caracolillo beans account for less than 2% of the region's total production, making them a rarity.
Cup notes: Cuban Caracolillo coffee is distinguished by its rare aromatic intensity and smooth texture. It has intense notes of dark chocolate. Its roundness and balance make it a unique taste experience.
