A coffee cherry is usually made up of two coffee beans. Coffee beans bearing the name “Peaberry” come from coffee cherries that contain only a single bean. These coffee beans, very rare on the market as they represent only about 5% of the world’s total coffee harvest, have a unique flavour profile. Peaberry coffee beans are typically smaller, denser, and more concentrated in flavour than other coffee beans. They have a more pronounced taste and a pleasant sweetness.
These Peaberry coffee beans come from coffee trees grown on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
