Cuba Caracolillo (Peaberry), Washed, Speciality Roast
Cuba Caracolillo (Peaberry), Washed, Speciality Roast
The Caracolillo beans (Peaberry in Spanish) grow in the heart of the Escambray mountains, also known as the Crystal Mountains, in soil particularly rich in mica and quartz. This specific terroir, combined with a temperate climate and frequent rainfall, creates an ideal microclimate for cultivating this exceptional coffee. However, Caracolillo beans, which are small and round, represent less than 2% of the region’s total production, making them a true rarity.
Cup notes: Cuban Caracolillo coffee stands out for its rare aromatic intensity and smooth texture. It has intense notes of dark chocolate. Its roundness and balance make it a unique tasting experience.
