Cuba Caracolillo (Peaberry), Washed, Speciality Roast
Cuba Caracolillo (Peaberry), Washed, Speciality Roast
Caracolillo beans (“Peaberry” in Spanish) grow in the heart of the Escambray Mountains, also known as the Crystal Mountains, in soil particularly rich in mica and quartz. This distinctive terroir, combined with a temperate climate and frequent rains, creates an ideal microclimate for this exceptional coffee.
Small and round, Caracolillo beans account for less than 2% of the region's total production, a true rarity. In the cup, Cuban Caracolillo stands out for its rare aromatic intensity and smooth texture, with intense dark-chocolate notes. Its roundness and balance make for a unique tasting experience.
