Ethiopia Kaffa Forest, Indigenous, washed, Speciality Roast
Ethiopia Kaffa Forest, Indigenous, washed, Speciality Roast
From the very birthplace of coffee. For centuries, this wild coffee has been harvested in the rich, dense forests of the Kaffa region, now a UNESCO-listed nature reserve. Once a year, between September and January, a small group of producers hand-picks only the cherries that have reached perfect ripeness.
Soaked in water tanks for 12 to 36 hours, then pulped, the green beans dry in thin layers on raised beds under the sun for about two weeks. The result is a cup of fascinating aromatic complexity: rich body, lovely acidity, floral and fruity notes. A piece of coffee history, straight to your cup.
